Lead Administrator (Assistant Manager)

The Lead Administrator will provide hands-on administration of Network, Server, Active Directory and Email support to offices spread throughout South-East Asia of approximately 350 employees. The ideal candidate will be able to supervise direct reports, handle multiple open issues and provide excellent customer support. In addition to this role, you will also execute projects, maintain ownership of projects assigned, and follow up with global team on technical resources as necessary to ensure timely project completion and communicate back the team. This position will report directly to the Regional MIS Manager.

Responsibilities and Technical Skills:


  • Cisco Firewall ASA and PIX, Routing and Switching, Call Manager (CUCM) Unity Connection, MPLS (IPVPN), Enterprise WLAN, Aruba & Meraki Wireless design, implementation and administration
  • Maintain a good set of branch office full network IT infrastructure Topology, ensure MPLS and Internet connectivity of regional offices
  • IPsec network management
  • Best practices in relation to Cyber security, Networking, Server and Backup maintenance
  • Windows Server (03’,08’,12’) administration and Hype-V virtualization
  • IBM Domino/Lotus Notes administration and databases management
  • Policy/Procedure/Guideline development for Business Continuity
  • Point of escalation for Network and Server in the region
  • Work closely with vendor on equipment procurement
  • Ensure the network & servers in APAC region are optimized for efficiency. Engage and manage outsource IT vendor with SLA to ensure a minimum downtime
  • Proactively work with global team and align IT projects, standards and activities
  • Network Documentation Diagrams (Visio)
  • Managing Active Directory & Hyper V virtualized environment


  • Address all escalated ticket from the helpdesk
  • Be part of regional/global projects team providing deliverables on time and budget
  • Well informed on the present and emerging technologies
  • Work with direct supervisor and other team members on special projects that entail value creation for the firm's IT systems
  • Submit Weekly Status reports and daily timesheets to direct supervisor
  • Other related IT duties


  • Bachelor’s degree in computer sciences or equivalent knowledge level
  • Min 5 years in network and windows server administration position, CCNA, MSCE or higher level certification
  • Technically knowhow on LAN/WAN architecture, server and networking
  • Knowledge and/or experience in time/project management, email systems (IBM Domino & Lotus Notes) will be an added advantage
  • Good working knowledge of Windows OS/Server and Cisco equipment
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to meet or exceed deadlines set by supervisors
  • A positive, upbeat, can-do attitude, work effectively in a fast paced dynamic environment
