Strategic Account Manager - Event Sponsorship Sales

Base Salary Range; from £37,080 to £46,350 per annum, plus commission up to £25,000 per annum (uncapped)

About Frost & Sullivan:

We are currently looking for an experienced Strategic Account Manager with a proven track record of success, to join our Brand and Demand Solutions Practice (B&D), who will report to the Global Senior Director of the Brand and Demand Solutions Practice (B&D).

The B&D team enables B2B companies to attract, engage and convert prospects into customers at an accelerated rate. We do this by leveraging the 3rd party credibility and brand of Frost & Sullivan to deliver an end-to-end turnkey solution that is strategically integrated and designed to support our customer’s unique objectives. These fully customized and integrated marketing solutions can take the form of messaging, awareness, nurturing, demand generation and/or pipeline development programs. Our clients come from all industries including healthcare, telecommunications, manufacturing and high technology.

Under the direction of the Global Senior Director of the Brand and Demand Solutions Practice, your career and on-the-job training will begin with a focus on Business2Business sales as outlined below;   

  • Sell Event Sponsorships to support up to 5 Regional and International Events
  • Immerse yourself in your key European markets in order to be able to communicate effectively about the corresponding industry to senior level executives
  • Create and manage a pipeline of prospects in order to grow the sponsorship client base and ensure target attainment
  • Manage accounts on-site at events or from the office including pre-event meetings, setup support, onsite logistics assistance, and post-event feedback session
  • Renew and solidify relationships to grow sponsorship business and overall marketing spend
  • Build strong relationships with clients and prospects, as well as  work closely with the Frost sales force to prospect and close sponsorship sales
  • Develop and grow a strong comprehension of the sales process, including an understanding of the value proposition and value based selling
  • Coordinate with event marketing and event operations to ensure sponsors receive promised deliverables
  • Travel 2-4 times a  year - throughout Europe at destination countries including Greece, Lisbon, and Spain
  • Grow and build our European business units and adapt the North America Best Practices to streamline the overall process

Qualifications & Experience

  • Proven track record of success in  stellar account management & Sales
  • Experience prospecting Senior Executives at Global 1000 companies
  • Be meticulous with details and possess stellar closing and follow-up skills
  • A degree, ideally in Business, Communication or Marketing  
  • Strong knowledge of PC software programs, specifically Microsoft Word, Excel and Lotus Notes
  • Ability to utilize search engines and other business resources to gather relevant data and facts and be able to synthesize and apply the information appropriately.
